I have but one dream, reoccurring;
That one day we'll live in peace,
America would have no more wars,
All fighting would just cease.
That people would love people
And treat them with respect,
And that not one human being
Would ever know neglect.
Nobody would know failure,
But every man would know success,
We'd all live in peaceful harmony,
In joy and happiness.
I believe in human rights,
Not just for some, but all,
I dream that there'll be someone
To pick us up each time we fall.
Everyone would have a soul mate,
And loneliness would end,
That neighbor would love neighbor,
And everyone would have a friend.
All humans would be healthy,
There'd be no more disease,
That each baby would be born perfect,
With no deformities.
I have a dream, my lifetime dream,
A dream for all mankind,
That one day there'll be peace on earth
That would last for all of time.
And in my dream each one of us
Would be equal to the rest,
In my dream every one of us
Would strive to do their best.
I have a dream not for myself,
But one for all mankind,
That we'd all love one another,
And every person would be kind.
That babies wouldn't be born crying,
But singing; loud and clear,
And every mother would love her baby,
A miracle so dear.
That we make each person a little more,
And not a little less.
I dream that all men's destructive ego's
Would die of loneliness.
That there'd be no more prisons,
But freedom for us all,
We'd destroy every prison cell
And break down every wall.
In my dream that keeps repeating,
No one would grow old,
There would not be any crime,
No human being ever sold.
World hunger would just cease to be,
And everyone would share,
From birth all babies would have the best
And most special, loving care.
The dream I dream is not for me,
But for a world in need,
I dream that Earth would not know
Anger, hate, prejudice, or greed.
Neighbor would love neighbor,
And all families would be close,
And every need would be fulfilled,
When it was needed most.
My dream is for the human race,
That we don't become extinct,
I hope my dream is your dream too,
Or that at least, it makes you think.
My dream will never have an end,
Unless it does come true,
Peace on Earth, Goodwill to Men,
